“Hi! My name is Michael and I am 11 years old. I go to school in St. Cronan’s, Bray and live in Greystones. I was born in Dublin on the 6th July 2000 weighing just 3lb and 1oz (1.4 kilo). I am a funny, bright and a clever boy.
I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (spastic quadriplegia) when I was 1 year old which means I have been using a wheelchair since I was 3 but I hope that with your help I will be able to say “Goodbye!” to that.
I attend Enable Ireland in Bray for my weekly treatments i.e. Physio, Occupational and Speech & Language Therapies. I also attend horse-riding and swimming which I enjoy very much.
I have been accepted for an operation available in the USA in St. Louis Children’s Hospital which could give me a chance to walk independently with an aid. This operation is not funded by the HSE and is entirely funded through donations and fundraising events. The cost of everything, including post-operation Physio is €60,000.
I know it’s a lot of money but with your help I know we can make my dream come true.
My dream is one day to join a football club!”
Thank you for your support…
